Vogue Magazine, Grace Coddington and photographer Stephen Meisel gave us a beautiful look at the great works of the late Alexander McQueen. models Karen Elson, Coco Rocha, Raquel Zimmerman (among others) showcase some of McQueen’s most thought-provoking looks, weaved into a beautiful editorial on a stark backdrop. the looks shot will all be featured in the “Savage Beauty” retrospective that will debut at The Costume Institute Gala on May 2 and will be open to the public at The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art May 4th through July 31st.

the exhibition will feature over 100 of his works, from his 1992 post-graduate show at Central Saint Martins to his final collection.
while the stylized Coddington images provide another perspective on the looks, the images shot for the catalog for “Savage Beauty” shot by Sølve Sundsbø shot on models and then edited to look as if they were shot on mannequins is truly a must see.
